A Gun, a Coffin, and a Guitar (spaghetti western soundtrack compilation)

Out of the spaghetti western soundtrack compilations I’ve listened to I’ve personally found them to be a bit patchy, so I decided to compile my own.

You won’t find Ennio Morricone's music from the Sergio Leone Clint Eastwood trilogies here or Once Upon a Time in the West because those soundtracks are easily available elsewhere. Instead I’ve compiled the harder to find soundtracks which are equally as good as the music from those four films and these, too, include the trademark hoof beat rhythms, whistling themes, and the use of the human voice as an instrument.

On this compilation I’ve included other scores by Ennio Morricone as well as Luis E. Bacalov, Stelvio Cipriani, Nico Fidenco, and most importantly, Bruno Nicolai.

Bruno Nicolai was a close Morricone associate for many years (conducting numerous Morricone scores) and composed some of the best Spaghetti Western music.

Disc One

1. Django (main title song - English film version) - Luis E. Bacalov (Django)
2. Blindman (main titles) - Stelvio Cipriani (Blindman)

Outstanding blog and an amazing post you have here! Thank ya very much. You probably know how hard is to find these tracks.Too bad we don't have more similar artists nowadays. I'm addicted to spaghetti-western/root-country sounds. There are some folks still doing that magic. Hope you all have the chance to find some of these modern heroes.
Greetings from Brazil. Thanx again!

cannot thank you enough for this! finally, got around to listening to it and was hoping your post was still up. a tremendous, classy collection obviously compiled with loving care by an expert and true fan. nothing too obvious on it; i'm sure i could track down things like "vamos a matar, companeros" or "lonely horseman" on expensive imports or youtube but these are not the kind of things you usually find, even on best of morricone compilations or best of spaghetti western themes. and to find all the good stuff on two discs of material? forget about it! many thanks. surely, when the angels and muses play cowboys and bounty killers in heaven, this here be the soundtrack...

CD 1 is fantastic! You did a wonderful job with this compilation. Please reupload CD2 part 2. The link is no longer working and I can't wait to hear the rest of it. Thanks.

Glad you liked it. The link for CD2 part 2 is ok now. I think it was just a temporary glitch with Mediafire.

Hey seems like disc1part2 and disc2part1 are working but i cant get the other mediafire links to work. Is there a way to fix this? If its not a bother you can email me the download at
Love the blog! keep up the great work

The links are still definitely fine. I've just tried them all out.

Interestingly, I've had a number of people tell me the Mediafire links are not working for various postings on this site and they always seem to be fine.

I don't know if these are temporary glitches with Mediafire or not. Sometimes it does ask for a CAPTCHA number to be entered. Anyway, from where I am the links are still fine. Give it another try and hopefully you'll have some success with it.

Your compilation is amazing

Thanks for Sharing this with us. Looks quite cool.

Fabulous Collection. The problem with many soundtracks is that they are full of incidental music and filler. You have pruned the best tracks from many lp's I have and made the ultimate spaghetti soundtrack.

This is my compilation..
i'm a fan of spaghetti western songs..
as you might know, the music in some cases was better than the movie itself
let me know which songs you should consider i most include or exclude to improve the list
